Overview
Slovnyk is designed to help you organize and learn vocabulary. We aim to collect as little information as practical and to be transparent about the Apple and Google services the app may use.
The website does not use analytics, advertising, user accounts or non-essential cookies.
Information you create
Vocabulary, collections, modules, word sets, settings and learning progress may be stored locally on your device. If iCloud synchronization is enabled, this information may be processed by Apple through iCloud and CloudKit under your Apple ID and Apple’s terms.
Advertising in the free version
The free version may display Google AdMob native and adaptive banner advertisements outside active learning sessions. Google and its advertising technologies may process device identifiers, IP address, general location, ad interactions, diagnostics and consent-related information according to your choices and Google’s policies.
Where required, Slovnyk uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request or manage consent. Non-personalized or limited ads do not mean that no data is processed. Native ad impressions are intended to be limited to approximately two per rolling 24-hour period. Premium users do not see ads.
Subscriptions
Premium subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple’s App Store and In-App Purchase system. Apple processes payment and transaction information. Slovnyk may receive subscription status and transaction identifiers needed to provide Premium features, but does not receive your full payment-card details.
Permissions and device features
Some learning features may request access to device capabilities such as microphone or speech recognition for pronunciation practice. The app asks through iOS before access. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
Children
Slovnyk is suitable for a broad audience but is not directed at children under the minimum digital-consent age in their country. Parents or guardians should supervise a child’s use where required. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.
Retention and your choices
You can edit or delete locally stored learning content in the app. iCloud data can be managed through the app and your Apple account controls. Advertising and consent choices can be reviewed where the app makes those controls available. Removing the app may not automatically remove data already synchronized to iCloud.
Third-party services
Relevant providers may include Apple (App Store, In-App Purchase, iCloud and CloudKit) and Google (AdMob and User Messaging Platform). Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
International processing and security
Apple and Google may process information in countries other than your own. We use platform security features and data minimization, but no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure.
